Meghalaya tourist season

Meghalaya literally means the 'Abode of Clouds'. Meghalaya is located in the North Eastern corner of India., Meghalaya is a state of great scenic beauty with undulating rivers, waterfalls, shining mountain streams, lakes, gorges, precipitous ravines and bird's-eye views from hilltops. Weaving, Pottery, wood and stone carving, metal work and basketry are traditional village craft. As with most the North Eastern states, Meghalaya is diversely multi-cultural, multi-ethnic and multi-religious, with an awful mix of traditional and modern lifestyles.

Cherrapunjee: Dain-Thlen Falls, Noh-Kalikai Falls, Noh-Sngithiang Falls, Mawsmai Cave, Thangkharang Park, Khoh Ramhah, Living root Bridge.

Garo Hills: Tura Peak, Nokrek Peak, Nokrek biosphere, Imilchang Dare, Chibragre, Williamnagar, Rongrenggiri, Sisbibra, Resubelpara, Baghmara, Nengkong, Siju Caves, Balpakram.

Jaintia Hills: Thadlaskein Lake, Megalithic Remnants-Nartiang, Syndai, Syntu Ksiar.

Khasi Hills: Sohpetbneng Peak, Bishop and Beadon Falls, Spread Eagle Falls, Sweet Falls, Diengiei Peak, Dwarksuid, Kyllang Rock, Mawsynram, Jakrem, Ranikor, Dawki, Nongkhnum Island.

Shillong: Elephant Falls, Shillong View Point, Shillong Peak, Lady Hydari Par, Wards Lake, Botanical Garden, Golf Course, State Museum, Catholic Cathedral,
